Interesting that they went to Ramos for a DGAaNG, even a DGAaNG in which he caught 11. It pretty much announces by implication that Nido-as-deGrom's personal catcher is a thing. Maybe this should have been the game to debut J.D. Davis at catcher.

I'm sorry to hear that. It makes sense, sadly. Gibson was a football player first and second. An All-American. He only played a single year of college baseball at the suggestion of his football coach, and he killed it. And, as anybody who saw him recalls, he played baseball like a football player, treating it as a full-contact sport.
