I've fulfilled my first goal — not getting released before getting my own thread here. but will I reach any others?
If and when the team gets over me — which can't be too far off, since even if I did better (and I did worse), Matz is back and Vargy will follow soon — I'll pursue my second goal, which will be getting a shot in the bullpen or at least getting squeezed through waivers and going to Syracuse.
Otherwise, I guess I might be joining the TWO STARTS AND SAYONARA CLUB, Scott Erickson presiding. There's Dennis Springer! And Tom Edens!! It's always fun when Jason Roach comes out and joins the party!!
If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but it'll be interesting, in a trivia-sort of way, if I play my last game before the kid I was traded for even plays his first.
Please. No more typeface jokes. I've heard them all. No, my wife isn't named Helvetica and my kids aren't goths. Font just means "fountain," as in "A fountain of characters pours out of this central typeface theme."
