Mets sign veteran righthander Evin Santana to minor league deal. Was an All-Star in 2017, but had only five starts and faltered last season as he recovered from finger surgery. Got off to a smelly start with the White Sox this year and was let go. I saw Ervin Santana duel Dillon Gee at Citi Field five years ago ithat seems like five minutes ago. Mets won, 4-1, in 2:23.

Maybe one of those guys comes after the draft pick is no longer attached. Maybe. I could see an NL East bidding war for Kimbrel. All 4 "contenders" could use him and keeping him off the other teams ia am added bonus
