The Baby Name Game 2019

The Top 50 boys' and girls' names in the US from 2018 have been released. One vote per list, per person, reverse scoring (#1 name scores 50 points, #2 gets 49, and so down), so your max score is 100, lowest is zero if you somehow miss both lists. Winner decided some time later tonight. GO. (edit: changed the title for future reference's sake)

OE: Missed the part about one vote. Never mind. My daughter has so many friends named "Maddie' that we refer to them by their last initial. And it's a beautiful name. But she's 22 and I think it cooled off.

I was thinking of Ava also. Surprised William is so high up, I don't think any of my kids classmates or friends through 2 neighborhoods and 2 schools or any of the kids I hear my wife (a teacher) talk about had that name

With Liam in 1st place and William 3rd, it's only a matter of time until we join forces and take over the world. That Willem, Wilhelm, Guillaume, Guillermo, and Guglielmo are nowhere to be found on the list just shows the continued prejudice this country still has towards my Dutch, German, French, Spanish, and Italian brothers.

One of my favorite little internet toys, the Baby Name Voyager: http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager Tyler, for example, came out of nowhere in the 70s and then WHAM was in the top ten by 1992. Fell out of the top 100 in 2017.

Of all those names, the only ones that would have been found in my elementary school in the early 1970s are Paul, Thomas, Andy, and Nicholas.
