Acquired from injuns. Looks like a guy called Brooks Pounders. Pitches like crap in 3 stops so far but on active roster, Peterson down.

They don't give that info for minor league players.

But the two were born 27 years apart, both in California ... which isn't proof, but quite likely.

Good ear. Brad is indeed his dad. It may be selling Pounders Senior a little short to call him AAAA, though. He starred as a minor leaguer and flew through. He was on the verge of the big leagues and on the Pads' 40-man roster when back surgery derailed the whole magilla.



As a corner infielder, he named his son after Brooks Robinson. He was, in fact, set to fully name him Brooks Robinson Pounders, when Mom put her foot down, so he settled for the more Metly moniker of Brooks Casey Pounders.
