Best Infield Ever? Worst SI Design Elements Ever? Mr. Long Bball is my choice ... AND my nickname. I love how they uncontract the term and make two words out of it.

Darryl seems upset he didn't make the cut for the The Best Infield Ever? barbershop quartet. I do like that Straw is featured in the midst of his prime as opposed to all the early salutes to his potential. It was a helluva prime. But the Infield represents a moment in time unlike any other in Mets history, and for the premier national sports magazine to have recognized that was the manifestation of editorial harmonic convergence.

Love the intensity of Darryl's look. Something is about to get crushed. As for the infield, I can't figure out what they were hoping to achieve by underlining the headline.
