And got caught in a run-down and couldn't turn a DP in the next inning. And why didn't Bruce hit like that with us?? Syndergaard giving up two long homers and we're already down 3-1

The funny thing is that the neither Dunn nor Kelenic are particularly close to debuting, and I can't stop myself from comparing the Canó trade to a bunch of deals from the seventies as the worst in team history. I mean, Ryan/Estrada/Rose/Stanton-for-Fregosi is going to be the standard-bearer for a while, but give this trade time and it might be the first one in a long time to make a run.

Lots of stuff to blame Cano for this year, but I'm not blaming the non-DP or the rundown on him. The one good thing he might still do well defensively is turn and throw, but it was a slow bouncer and Realmuto is likely the only catcher in MLB that beats that out. And the rundown was simply a contract play. I blame Conforto more for failing to advance to 3rd during it.

So at least we didn't leave any runners on that inning. We got them pre-thrown-out on the bases instead. 8 hits plus a HBP plus a Philly error in just 3 innings somehow equals only 3 runs Put another way, Arrieta has retired less than half the batters he's faced. A pitcher who does that should be either losing big or already be out of the game.

Not sure why Frazier is mad. No reason for warnings to be issued. If they're not going to issue a warning immediately then they are, in effect, admitting that they're only doing it because Frazier reacted.
