The Great Chinese Climate Change Hoax Thread

Oh, those tricky, sneaky Chinese hoaxsters!

Anchorage, Alaska cancels 4th of July fireworks due to record setting temperatures. It's 85 degrees there, hotter than it's ever been there in the entire recorded history of mankind. Temperatures might reach 90 degrees soon, for the (naturally) first time ever.

Climate change? Wbat climate change?

Have been traveling in Europe and last Sunday it was 97 degrees in Luzern, Switzerland. They were completely unable to cope as air conditioning is relatively rare. Made for a sweaty night's sleep.

June, 2019 was the hottest June in the entire recorded history of mankind. July, 2019 is on pace for the same. It was 108 degrees in Paris, France the other day.

I finished this book last week. It was terrifying.

It may sound hyperbolic, but I think the next election determines how long our republic lasts in terms of years not decades. Don't want to create jobs through infrastructure? Wait until Manhattan, DC and Florida are swamps along with much of America's food-producing farm land because we aren't prepping. Don't like migrants and refugees? Climate change is going to make what we have going on now at the border seem like nothing. When it's literally to hot to survive the heat near the equator, people will head north. Wall or no wall.

I don't know what the answer is...but some don't even acknowledge there is a question.

Those some are the ones who are making tremendous amounts of money by maintaining the status quo. They don't give a shit because they won't be here when the shit really hits the fan. I'm pessimistic about this. I believe that barring some technological breakthrough or Invention, the planet's doomed.

There are people who make money off the status quo, and when it becomes too big to ignore, they'll make money off of ameliorating the damaging effects.

The pyramid builders will be back soon and fix things climate wise. Problem

is they'll take over everything else so it will be a win-lose situation.

I just got this out of the library the other day and I'm going to start it tonight.

Our move off LI last year was 50% professional opportunity, 25% financial, and 25% getting the ever-loving hell out of there before the next big weather event happened.

Sandy barely affected us at all but neighbors a half-block closer to the water weren't so lucky. One of the reasons we're considering a move is the flood insurance cost
