    Darling was close to correct while describing his last start.



    McGriff beat him with a solo homer when the game was tied, not a three-run homer to put them ahead from behind.



    Darling pitched really well, but the Mets were one-hit.

    Smith did a big roundhouse swing on a slider low and away and his follow-through conked the catcher on the back of the head.



    He seemed fine, but concussion protocols probably mandate the trainer doing a cursory exam.
