I suspect a lot of the design complains are just because writing on foul poles is somewhat non-standard. but either way, not a company they should be supporting, not that they've ever vetted an advertiser before, but still.

It's also an encroachment of advertisement into fair territory. Yeah, that ship has sailed with ads on the wall, but this represents another level of creep*, and ads on the bases or painted into the outfield grass can easily follow. *It's also another level of obstructed-view seating.

That they haven't put advertisements on the grass for tv yet (digitally) is merely just an oversight. But in the nearish future, when we perceive our world entirely through AR, you'll be able to pay for an ad-free Citi Field.

we have replay for that anyway though. And robots, if we'd utilize them. Neil Best has some views of the obstruction from a fan view point of view. Of course, those views were pretty bad anyway because of the big orange pole and thick orange netting. you gotta lean a little.

It also blocks views. If I had season tickets that was suddenly now being blocked -- partially or otherwise -- I'd be demanding refunds and/or alternate seats.

What broken record? Yesterday I posted about Darling's racing stripes. And about Merengue Night 20 years ago at Shea. And about how Robert Mueller shit the bed. And how Matt Harvey had his biggest payday when his skills were at their lowest. And there was my line cutting thread which generated some very interesting responses. And my custom 2019 Batman themed Mets baseball cards. Those posts dont generate any interesting responses, or any responses at all really. And 18 Met themed White Album covers. Which also drew hardly any responses. But at least those posts dispel your broken record charge.

I dunno I don't click into baseball card or music posts. Matt Harvey hasn't been a Met in a while, so didn't bother clicking into that either. your response here was typical and unrelated though. Even if my post was defensive of the thing, which it wasn't, I'd be surprised if the Wilpons are particularly involved in second-half Ad/sponsorship sales. At best they give a final thumbs up, but given how little the Mets vet advertisers, even that's fifty/fifty.
