Sunday Night Fever (No Cure)

Goddammit, ESPN noticed how well the Mets have been doing and grabbed their Sunday, September 15, game vs LA at home for prime time exposure with their stupid announcers and equally stupid presentation.

The Mets play in Denver the next night, so thanks much ESPN.

From the506.com:

[BLOCKQUOTE]Happened before to the Mets...

2013: NYM-WSH on SNB with a 1 pm game in ATL the next day.

2016: WSH-NYM on SNB with a 1 pm game in CIN the next day.[/BLOCKQUOTE]

First class travel, chartered flight, excellent hotels. Traveling for work isn't a piece of cake but it's made as easy as possible for the players.

Plus, with the two hour difference, I imagine they'll still get a full night's rest.

I don't think it's optimal but I don't see it as a tremendous disadvantage.

(Watch this game go 15 innings now)

Day off for me too, I refuse to participate in these gimmick games after

paying for SNY and MLB Extra Innings.

Ugh, the Mets are also on SNB on 9/1 (with a day game in WSH the next day):

This is the downside of suddenly being a contender.

Re: Sunday Night Fever (No Cure)

As someone who watches on TV and only attends 1-2 games per year, and naps on weekends after lunch, I like the Sunday night prime time games. Except for the broadcast crew, they are wretched. I will watch on ESPN Deportes most likely.
