Liberace played the part of two brothers, whether this fits into your parameters

or what their names were I have no clue.

Liberace played Chandell and his evil brother Harry, who forced Chandell to engage in crimes. I can't accept this answer because the Liberace episodes are all part of the same storyline.

Bat-Trivia: The Liberace episode was the highest rated episode of the Batman TV series

Better than being two days late and two dollars short.

Anne Baxter was both Olga and Zelda -- and was pretty bland in both!

Anne Baxter was the granddaughter of Frank Lloyd Wright.

I liked her in All About Eve but not at all in I Confess. As well, Montgomery Clift was a strange choice as a tormented priest (or not - should go rewatch that). She had a hell of a run before dying at a mere 62 years.

We have a winner. Anne Baxter played Zelda the Great and Olga, Queen of the Cossacks.

Thank you for playing.

Which Bat villain appears only as a question mark in the credits at his/her demand because of either a salary dispute or not being happy with the costume, depending on the source?

I'm going to recuse myself on account of being totally immersed in the subject right now. But I know the answer.

BTW, although most guest villains on the Batman TV show were one-offs, this villain had no chance of a repeat appearance; his costume creeped out the younger viewers.

As an aside, I met Adam West once and asked him who his favorite villain was. His answer was immediate: Catwoman.

The Puzzler?

Incorrect, but Maurice Evans' villain was dashing before he became Dr. Zaius.

Re: Random Apropos of Nothing Quiz(zes)

The Puzzler's story was originally intended for the Riddler. But Frank Gorshin quit over a salary dispute so that episode was rewritten for The Puzzler. Eventually, the Riddler was re-cast; the role given to John Astin of Addams Family fame. Astin's Addams family wife, Carolyn Jones (as Morticia),was also a Batman villain -- Marsha, Queen of Diamonds.

My wife says Two Face?

Two-Face, a core villain in the Batman universe, dating as far back as the Golden age of Comics, was never portrayed on the 60's tv show. The writers felt that Two-Face's appearance was too gruesome for the show's younger viewers. The writers eventually got around to considering the Two-Face character. Harlan Ellison, the famous sci-fi writer, wrote a treatment and the execs were in early talks with Clint Eastwood to play the part. But then the show got canceled.

Harlan Ellison, the famous sci-fi writer, ...

Lucky for you Mr. Ellison is dead or he'd immediately sue you for using the term "sci-fi" regarding his writing. And, dead or not, I'd be on the lookout for that "cease and desist" order.

Well if it isn't Two Face it's gotta be False Face.

(I assume it's ok to guess twice at the same question)

You got it! Apparently when they pitched the idea to Malachi Throne, the character was a master of disguise who wore make up to look like others. Instead, he got this:

Ok I'll steer away from Batman and move to another kind-of cult favorite.

In the second season of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, the Admiral of The Searcher (the ship on which Buck and Wilma explored the galaxy) was the descendant* of which real-life author?

*note that the character is supposed to be the descendant, not the actor.

I never met Isaac Asimov, but I did see him in person once. He made an appearance when I was at NYU. It was a small gathering and he told stories, told jokes, and even sang. He was very entertaining.

Holy perfect pitch! If you wanna see how Batman could be both brilliant and all corny as hell all at the same time, check out this clip below as the Dynamic Duo escape another cliffhanger, this one at the hands of Harry, played by Liberace.
