The media and those nasty "dems"

As usual, the Hostile Media (sic) & their Democrat Partners (sic) went CRAZY!” Trump wrote.

This happened much more quickly than I had hoped. Yes, those bullies, the Hostile Media (sic) and those crazy Democrats, are looking out for taxpayers, who were about to get ripped off by Trump, strike again. I'd hoped all the other G-7 countries might simply decline to attend, but this is better. But the best part is it's all a part of public record now and will be an article of impeachment. No backsies just because he's chickened out.

What's that? Ah, yes, I hear that Trump Waaaa-ambulance hurtling down the freeway - again.

Backing down must have wounded him more than the impeachment risk, which is delicious.

It would have been fun watching the world leaders publicly complain about the bedbugs.

I imagine there were some diplomatic hints passed along that member states wanted no part of this.

That actually was my first hope, that, say, Angela Merkel and Francoise Macron and Justin Trudeau may have communicated that they wished not to support Trump in more law breaking and violations of our US Constitution. I can see them enjoying that immensely.

Meanwhile, Trudeau has his own troubles.

Which would have had no effect. Even if Trump managed to hold this event 'at cost', the fact that the resort would have been full at a time when it's normally 60% empty would be a boon for him. Not to mention the tens of millions in resort 'upgrades' needed for the event, all paid for by you and me.

This is an event you can hold at Camp David any time- they've got all the facilities and in fact it's been held there before. No upgrades needed. But Trump hates Camp David; it's too rustic for him. That's why he spends summers in Bedminster, NJ.

I think there's an effect when it's your turn to host an international summit of the heads of state of the leading world economies and for the first time, nobody wants to come.

Clearly it's not the media and those nasty dems. He loves provoking them. But he wasn't getting support from Congressional Republicans sick of playing defense for him, and if he wasn't getting support from the fellow heads of state, he's left isolated. I imagine he hates being isolated.

So he pulls the plug, and hysterically blames his opponents for being hysterical.

'enriching himself' is like, the least concerning of his crimes. And he'll use the backing down as a propaganda point about compromise. Meanwhile he's still killing people at the border, in other countries, and our own troops. But sure, he'll make a few less million off us. great.

I think it's a great concern, because if he is crafting policy — which at that level are almost always life-or-death choices — in order to increase wealth, then yes, he is killing people.
