This seems rather early

I've already had to get the heated water dish out for Pierce

I hate winter. Spring can't start soon enough for me.

Re: Winter 2019 - 2020

Sometimes I wish I'd taken up x-country skiing but stayed only with downhill. Then I gave that up when the slopes became overrun with snowboarders. Not only do I not have chains for my car, I no longer even have snow tires. In the rare instance that we might get snow here, if it's too deep to slog over to the grocery a block and a half away, I'm hiring out my grocery shopping.

We're supposed to get 8-12" between now and midday Monday. I'm already working from home for part of Monday to take my kids to their orthodontist adjustments. If it's nasty I will just stay home for the entire day. Nice perk to have that option.

I'm in that place I hate to be. Already in Manhattan, and the commute home to NJ will suck. Question is- when to leave to prevent suck from becoming a total disaster. That freak November snowstorm a few years ago cost me 6 1/2 hours on a one-hour commute.

Shoveled 4 inches three hours ago and there has to be another 4 fallen already

Don't worry, the Morris/Essex rarely fails if enough diesels are handy. You'll be ok
