Keith Hernandez roomed with Miss Elizabeth!?!?! How come that didn't make it into any of his books?

Keith Hernandez probably didn't, or doesn't give a damn that his ex roomie was Randy Poffo, son of legendary wrestler Angelo Poffo, and later (and he wouldn't become a house hold name untill the start of his WWF run around 86-87) "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Just another nameless and faceless teamate for Keith Hernandez I guess.

Uhhhhhhhhh just saw what you said... HEHEHEH!

Not sure if she was even a household name before being Savage's WWF valet, I'd have to ask some wrestling boards...

I doubt it. Randy met her while they were working out at the same gym in Florida or somewheres. He brought her to the wrestling world himself. I think.

Miss Elizabeth passed in 2003 of an apparent accidental drug overdose. From wikipedia:

On May 1, 2003 in Marietta, Georgia, Luger (Lex Luger, a wrestler who Elizabeth had been living with) called 9-1-1 from his home and reported that Elizabeth was not breathing. The 911 operator told him to give her mouth to mouth resucitation but she did not respond. Paramedics rushed her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She died at the age of 43.

Police launched an investigation because, two weeks prior to her death, Lex Luger had been arrested on charges of domestic violence. Police found pills of hydrocodone and alprazolam (Xanax) as well as anabolic steroids, testosterone and sazien in the home Luger and Hulette shared. The subsequent autopsy showed that Hulette died of an accidental drug overdose mixing the medications with vodka. Luger was cleared of any wrongdoing in connection with her death. WWE Smackdown! made a slideshow about Miss Elizabeth about her history, in dedication.

Meanwhile, the Macho Man seems to have suffered an even worse fate:

Savage is now pursuing a career as a rap artist; his debut album Be A Man was released on October 7, 2003. His album was met with scathing reviews; according to a review by Dan Aquilante of the New York Post, his album "defies the laws of physics by blowing and sucking at the same time." The title track of the album was intended to make fun of Hulk Hogan.

Holy crap! Leaping Lanny Poffo was his brother! How crazy is that? How is one brother so tough while the other is such a wuss?
