BLC: "Zappa" vs "ELO"

In response to Cooby's treacly ELO, i went to the furthest reaches and came up with a random list of Frank Zappa songs:

Peaches n Regalia
Cosmic Debris
Dinah-Moe hum
Bobby Brown Goes Down
Joe's Garage
Titties & Beer
Illinois Enema Bandit
Trouble Every Day
Valley Girl
You Are What You Is

Coobster... you've been called out by a list of relatively obscure, highly offensive, misogynistic, jazz fusion, satirical songs that generally defy categorization.

Are we going with a band here (i.e, sticking with songs credited to the Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention)?

i'm not sure i understand your question.

Are you saying that the songs he wrote after he no longer referred to the musicians around him as "the mothers of invention" are not eligible?

Vic --- 2 rules violated here.

1 - It's a band ladder contest. You're only allowed to do Frank Zappa & the Mothers songs. Solo album stuff, like Peaches En Regalia, disallowed.

2. Since ELO is already battling the Who, they are exempt from a challenge til that one is over.

Otherwise, I look forward to the Mothers joining this contest.

well you can't get much further than that from ELO...I think we have to wait a day until the current ELO massacre is over though

Yes. Them's been the rules from the beginning which has precluded Willets from using post "Revolution" Prince songs and solo Tom Petty and so forth. Luckily, Zappa called several groups of musicians the Mothers. You should have no trouble coming up with a good list.
