The Mets win again to extend their winning streak to five in a row. Pedro was all business on the mound today. Guillen's mouth and the Nationals' bats were no match for hPedro's masterful arsenal of pitches. Beltran's resurgence continues; maybe his next reception at Shea will be more pleasant. Heilman and Wagner were solid in closing out the final 2 innings. They are definitely deserving of Schaeffer points, but this POTG format is generally not too kind to relievers.
Too bad, we already drank all the Petes Wicked Ale after Pedro's last start. So tonight we'll toast another victory with one of the Dominican Republic's finest beers. A round of Presidente beer for everyone to celebrate another fine effort by the Mets.
