Anthony Angel

Anthony Rendon to the Anaheim Angels for seven years, $245 million.

That's an average annual value of — HOLY SHIT! — $35 million a year.

Good strategy! Sign while teams are pissed about missing out on Gerrit Cole. Now somebody's going to sign with the Nats while they're pissed about missing out on Rendon. Time to wake up your agent, Joe Panik.

LaStella-Trout-Rendon-Ohtani is a decent way to start your lineup.

Re: Anthony Angel

Rendon says "I hate you!" to his awful teammates; that he is happy to leave the ignorant, front-running fans; and then says, "I don't want to play any longer in such a bland stadium with idiots for TV announcers" and leaves town. Or perhaps it was the money.

Re: Anthony Angel

I didn't care where he signed, as long as it wasn't in the NL East.

So Trout's baseball card numbers could get even better?

Are you like me though? I've seen Rendon enough to understand he is a truly great player --probably better than most people understand--but I can't help by now to assume everything the Angels do as an organization will ultimately fail despite being good.

Yeah, I think Tyler Skaggs would still be like their 5th best pitcher. They're still a .500 team w/ Rendon.

Re: Anthony Angel

This is the only positive news of this offseason so far. And sure, the Nats will probably pivot to Donaldson, but there's only one of him, meaning either Washington or Atlanta will miss out.

Yes, of course. I meant for the 2020 season.

I'd gladly go 0-162 if it meant Brodie hasn't traded away any talent and Cohen takes over in November.

I've always felt this way. It's the uniforms, I think. It's always been such a softball look to me.
