Mets Sign Jake

Jake Hager, 26 yo RH-hitting utility infielder. Failed top draft pick of Rays, since in Brewers and Indy ball, career .259/.312/.376 hitter in 800 milb games.



Also saw where they whacked Sam Haggarty

I'm not sure why they released the Hagg. He didn't have the juice to demand his release, I don't think.

Edgy, I think that they had to release him because of the number of years he was in the minors. Something like that. I'm hoping that he'll be resigned to a minor league k with an invitation to ST.

Hey, any time you can add a guy with a .286 career AAA OBP to your roster, YOU GO GET HIM.
