They are bith good covers but please keep in mind the Davis Game was much more important to the arc of the season than a silly batting-practice exhibition.

Indeed, and Rajai gets my vote. But DAVIS ROCKS GOLIATH is weak sauce as far as punning goes, and I don't see that one advancing much further. Is GARDY PARTY! a reference to Ron Gardenhire?

Just saying newsworthiness should be a consideration. It is news after all. And as back pages during baseball season go, the 1st day of the All-Star Break is about as slow a "news day" as can be imagined, and the "event" getting the coverage is fake news as far as baseball goes.

Newsday has upped their game, but the lack of outlines, both on the text and the frames of the image, remains an unforced error. Their shit don't pop.
