There's a new Topps 2020 variation of Pete Alonso's card where the Mets slugger is a polar bear. It's a rare card -- one sold for about $2,000.00 on ebay.

Beckett is the "old standard" of price guides, and they do have an online guide but you have to pay to see any "pricing."

If you're feeling a bustle in your hedgerow, it must be the newly released 1971-based 2020 Topps Heritage baseball cards. Paging Vida Blue. Vida Blue.

Dont'cha just hate anachronistic photographs? I especially hated it in Ken Burns's Baseball documentary. And I hate 'em on baseball cards that are supposed to capture a specific date or time. Check out that 1969 patch.

With just one season under his major league belt (but what a season!), Polar Bear Pete is already being compared to all-time great, Willie Stargell. Peak Willie Stargell. 1971 Willie Stargell. The best Willie Stargell that ever was. At least according to the Topps 2020 Heritage Then & Now subset. And Stargell hadn't even shifted over to 1st base yet, either.

I had always felt like this is the same game if not the same inning as this notorious fake Agee card. But now I realize that it sorta can't be because Real Harrelson is wearing long sleeves and Harrelson-in-Disguise has his guns uncovered.

Remember when Zvon reverse-engineered the Topps 1973 Tommie Agee card into a Fantasy 1972 Agee In Action?
