2020 Vision: Robinson Cano

Pretty disappointing first year on balance, and now a year older. Robby says the HBPs ion the hands were a bigger issue in his first half suck than we might have known at the time and like a lotta guys he was better in the 2nd half.

The hammies I'd guess would continue to be an issue though, as will range and D, doncha know.

So, what do you expect?

That's his last year line minus "1" across the board

The projection numbers are dropping like a rock as we get deeper into this thread and reality kicks in.

This sounds abut right, maybe a tad lower. He's saving himself for when the NL adopts the DH.(sigh)

.280/.350/.410, 3rd in the ROY vote. No, wait, that is the guy we traded for him.

I'll predict a whole bunch of time on the DL and "small sample size" for stats.

this...

and after his 3rd trip to the DL, he goes on a coke-fueled, self-destructive, downward spiral during a road trip and gets shot in a bar fight in Philly.

Or, you know, maybe not.

But a tragic and premature death is the only way we're getting out from under his contract.

Re: 2020 Vision: Robinson Cano

maybe he can get put on the "David Wright Plan" where insurance reimburses Wilpon for his contract but that money doesn't get funneled back into payroll?
