What a gallery of little big shots The Old Mole knows. Every time I see him exchanging posts with somebody on the Book, I'm all, "Isn't that the same name as that guy who wrote that book I used to like?" or "Wasn't she in that TV show about those people?" And pretty much invariably, I click on the profile and it's actually that person. Currently chatting with the Old Mole is ... that three-hit wonder from the early Reagan years ... Robbie DuPree! "Steal Away" is, almost by definition, the best Michael McDonald song not actually done by Michael McDonald. If you believe the Internet, he didn't even appear on the record, which alone is pretty remarkable, as McD guested on dozens if not hundreds of albums during that period.
