Major League Baseball has sent out a fan survey, asking fifteen questions. Let's make each of these a poll, so they can be voted on and discussed individually.

In order to reduce wear and tear on players during a condensed schedule, each extra inning will begin with a runner on base in order to improve the chance of a quick finish

And they could also prevent the spread of covid-19 throughout the MLB community by playing out the 2020 season with Strrat-o-Matic baseball cards.

I actually don't hate this IF it's after "a few" (2, 3?) normal extra innings and only in a shortened season where the pitchers don't have enough time to get ready. I prefer it to ties and having position players pitch.

I much prefer ties. Let the game end in a tie after ten innings.

Where can I find the actual fan survey? Or was it just sent out to a random selection of fans?

I received it as an email invitation.

I never get the "wear-and-tear on pitchers" argument.

If they are worn down, but still throwing goose eggs, what gives? In fact, isn't seeing what gives the point?

If the rosters are going to be expanded, more pitchers will be available to pitch more deeply, if necessary.
