WTF with the Mets pregame show?

Maybe this is the first time I've watched this season... They're giving betting odds on whether Howie Kendrick will get a hit tonight or whether Pete Alonso will hit a homer. (Bet $100 and if he homers you win $265.) Are the Wilpons looking to make some extra money by making book on SNY?)

I guess it's kind of an additional broadcast endorsement of the sponsor, maybe part of the advertising contract package. I'm all for legalized gambling, but pimping odds on stuff on a team-owned broadcast is kinda dumb to me. Kids are watching, people with gambling issues too.
