I don't think they need to worry about the HR Apple for this game. So far it looks like getting the ball out of the infield is going to be a rarity.

The Mets are the "visiting" team in their own ballpark, but they're wearing white and the "home" team Marlins are in gray. I wonder if the Fish get to use the home clubhouse for this game.

So they're a team with great hitting that can't hit and a team with great pitching whose pitching has evaporated. And they have a 5-game set with the Yankees this weekend. Maybe I'll watch the RNC tonight, that'll be less excruciating.

It may be time for the Mets to get a hitting coach who actually comes to the ballpark. And didn't the team have a team shrink a while ago? Or maybe just an EMT who can give the entire team the Heimlich Maneuver. Later

Gary was talking about how this could be a "make or break" week for the Mets. They've only played two of nine games so far, but for now it looks more break than make.
