Memories of Walker Lockett

Mariners claim Walker Lockett.

He pitched mostly in invisible ink, though I will remember he got lit up on the last day of last year, ultimately setting up the heroics of Dom Smith.

Another made up Met that never existed.

I'll start the "Memories of Ferd Gershmann" thread next.

I wonder if he ever made it to Rufus and Melba's wedding?

Lockett rhymes with rocket.

If you saw what happened to his pitches, you know how appropriate that was.

Re: Memories of Walker Lockett

I knew this thread would be hitting the forum sometime today. This means the Mariners, who also pinched Sam Haggerty off waivers from the Mets, end up owning 100% of the Kevin Plawecki trade package.

That's a hurting thing.

He was a guy capable of a good inning now and again but not enough "stuff" to keep him in a job. I was rooting for him.

Given this week's moves we'd probably have been better off having not ever traded Plawecki in the first place
