Uni Tribute?

This is nice, of course, but are there any reports on whether the team has yet been able to cobble together uniform alterations in tribute? https://twitter.com/SNYtv/status/1301583613889335300 I'd rip off the whole left sleeve and replace it with a black one.

I'd love to see a silhouette of Seaver dragging his knee on the ground with a 41, but we might have to settle for a white 41 in a black circle. I wonder how long it takes to get patches designed and produced?

Each Met rubbed dirt on his right knee today. Prior to the game they tipped their caps up toward 41.

You know, they could do far worse than to make this a daily ritual the rest of the season, and make that the uniform alteration.

Yeah pretty underwhelming. You know newspapers are in the habit of pre-prepping obits and bios of noteworthy folk as needed, so if and when they go its only a matter of plugging in the time and place. But this patch doesn't look like a lot of forethought went into it, the font is too wide, the colors aren't right, it says little. They'd do better with black armbands. Though knowing the Mets they'd do this beforehand and accidentally put the patch on in their online merchandise store

They didn't even bother to break out the sketchbook with this patch. Jeff got on the phone with the patch company and simply said:"gimme a 41 in a circle."
