Old Music for Young People

I was sitting on my front porch, doing a crossword, and half listening to the little boys across the streets' pool party, when I suddenly realized the song on their stereo was ‘Babe'

And I thought, man that's song's like 45 years old

That'd be like if we'd played 1930's music at my parties

I do hear you. I find it kinda depressing though. Kinda like "Where have all the Good Times Gone."

The other day I tried to get Lunchpail to learn Jet Airliner on the guitar. If my dad asked me to sing Bing Crosby I probably would have run away from home. #old

Re: Old Music for Young People

My dark-metal-shrieking nephew has become obsessed coming and going over the album Moondance, wanting to talk to me about almost nothing else, even serenading his girlfriend with album-closer "Glad Tidings," a song I adore and believe should be a Kristmas Klassick, but most treat as a throwaway.
