Like never before, another bizarro holiday weekend in 2020! Got a shindig tomorrow afternoon at someone's house who has a rather large yard so we're gonna wing it. Yah three days off and not a ton on the calendar. Running, napping, time with my family and the normal invasive presence of my most spinstery of in-laws.

They gave us today off too but too late to get a camping reservation anywhere, do we're having a 4 day staycation. Today I biked to riis beach and met the Lunch Family there, sat on the beach reading, jumped in the ocean, threw the bike in the car, drove back, grilled some pork chops. Not a bad start

I was at Riis Beach today as well though not by bike. Otherwise not a lotta plans which is ok.

Much like Meatloaf, I'm all revved up with no place to go. spending the weekend chillin' with my family. Went for a picnic at a state park near our home just to get out of the house and enjoy a perfect day. No plans for tomorrow. Likely sleep in, go for a run then do some reading while enjoying a few craft beers. A rather typical day off for me.

This is more or less what I have queued up as well, though I'll run early and nap after lunch.

I got a big slab of chuck pot-roasting it's bad self. Who does that on Labor Day? Zombies caught in the 2020 Continuum, that's who.

Had a socially-distanced pizza party with friends last night. We've been doing more of this and are already making plans to do outdoor get-togethers well into the fall with the purchase of a propane patio heater.

For the first time in over thirty years, I'm working on Labor Day. And doing a late shift, too. We went out for breakfast on Saturday and grilled over the weekend to make up for it.
