Don't worry. It was on the left shoulder.

The 2020 publication is not bad for a modern yearbook. If I saw this on sale in the Rotunda, I'd buy it out of excitement more than obligation. They got six of the seven youthful players who personified the 2019 exciteMets (all but Nimmo), and Davis and Conforto in all their expressiveness beats more random action shots. Clever touch with Rosario sliding.

You can't possibly omit deGrom unless your theme is Young Guns or what have you. The hierarchy of Jake and Pete above all others works here, though the Polar bat is indeed a little close for comfort.

A healthy step up, in the Willard Mullin sense, from the past couple of years. The champ remains unbeatable, but 2020 sets a nice standard for the design of the next decade. Stylistically, it evokes, a little, the 1987 revised edition.

Yuchie was Bill Gallo's mascot. This one is Willard Mullin. I think Gallo's only Mets yearbook cover was an indifferent 1981 execution.

Beyond that, I agree with Greg. This year's cover is mostly pretty sharp. I like it more than this year's media guide cover.

I think it was A Boy Named Seo who, unfamiliar with Basement Bertha, gave a very funny take on this cover.

Davis exulting one way, Conforto the other way, the whole thing looks great. Not #1 of All-Time great but it's a nice cover.

Willard Mullin's 1967 cover retains the title.
