Pete Alonso had a stolen base. Ryan Cordell had a stolen base. Edwin Nuñez had a stolen base. Amed Rosario had 0 stolen bases. The team finished with a grand total of ONE successful sacrifice bunt. Billy Hamilton, welcome to the Mets record books. The Mets enjoyed what I imagine to be their first season without a single managerial ejection. Congratulations to Luis Rojas. Congratulations too to Dave Racaniello for coming very close to being the team's first ever bullpen catcher to receive an ejection. Juan Lagares appeared in two games, wearing two different numbers, and then received a DFA followed by a release, but never took a plate appearance.

Matzie was one of five pitchers with an ERA over 9.00. A sixth had an ERA over 8.00. A seventh had an ERA over 7.00. None of them was Todd Frazier. It wouldn't shock me if the guy spent the off-season polishing his knuckler for a more pitching appearances.

Don't know if this belongs here, but whaddya do with Dom Smith next year if there's no DH? Either you play him in left and take your lumps in the field or -- and here comes the ballsy part -- you decide to trade Smith. Or Alonso. You can't part-time Smith anymore.

I'd make Smith the left fielder. But I think there's probably going to be a DH. (When do we find out, anyway???)

Definitely. They should decide it very shortly after the World Series ends.
