Key part of the establishment of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital, and is the reason the Katz Women's Hospital gets $$ every time the Mets win, and hopefully that continues.

I heard he has a big set of balls ... although I can not personally confirm that claim.

Absolutely no memories of him.

He was just along for the (bumpy) ride.

Big playa in the Madoff scandal.

According to one of the complaints anyway, Saul vetted potential investors before they ever got to Bernie.

Lol.

Wonder where that $2500 for every Met win that went to the Katz Institute for Women's Health will go to now?

Fun LIJ Fact: Despite the Lake Success address, children born at Long Island Jewish Medical Center are typically born at Katz Women's Hospital, which lies on the sprawling campus just across the Queens border. So mothers may arrive at a Nassau County hospital center, but their kids get a New York City birth certificate.

Interestingly enough, well I don't know about the hospital I linked to, but their foundation is more of a funds funneling one, and they don't accept donations. So it won't show up in the annual Christmas donation swaps posts here.

My former place of employment had a foundation set up like it, where that was our organizations giving arm, but it couldn't accept out of the blue private donations.

Found that out the hard way when I picked it as my charity of choice here one year and no one could find a mechanism to put in a donation, or the foundation's name in charity watchdog site databases! Oops, oh well

Just to add, a few times I was able to get my former employer to do a donation match for whom I donated to from the posts, and it was from the foundation's account that the employee donation matches went out from.
