It's tough to know how much of Sandy I was actually Sandy, but you'd think he would be reluctant to give an over 30 catcher major money over a long term deal. McCann seems like the natural fallback. If not, there are a bunch of glove-first guys. Maybe someone like Tyler Flowers. Good glove, can reach double digits in HRs. Really, anyone except that other guy.

Few catchers hit 30 before achieving free agent status. That's the rub.

It would be like hiring the guy who stole your high school sweetheart. He might be able to do the job. But still ... Later
