How? Why? What the everlasting FUCK?! This was a press conference. Did nobody ask, "Mr. Mayor, what are we doing here?"

It just shows their incompetence. But the real hero is the person at the landscaping service who said, "Yeah, this is the Four Seasons. Yes, we'll make arrangements for you to have Mr. Guiliani give a press conference here." Somebody obviously screwed up, and by the time they realized their mistake they'd already notified the press, so they just went ahead with an event at a location between a crematorium and a porn shop. Truly frickin' awesome. And even then, the best part is that they called Pennsylvania for Biden right in the middle of Rudy's press conference.

And at some point Rudy asked "Which network?" [called the election] only to get the reply, "All of them!" He then went back to his original script which, for an administration where facts are irrelevant, totally makes sense.

It's insane. How does nobody pull the plug on that? Did they just get the address from the person on the phone and not know where they were going until they arrived? Do the absolute weakest of the weak Trump warriors get put on Mayor Guiliani's team? I've been a legal worker. The budgets on big suits are massive. They put dozens or more people in a room, pay them good money to read every possible document, every possible e-mail. Professional communications people handle the press. The idea that the mayor has this level of incompetence on a team allegedly trying to uncover "the truth" about the president-elect is sort of terrifying if you think this is a microcosm of our society. The mayor should have been left at the landscaper.

I know that this reference isn't so timely, but this fiasco is something right out of Arrested Development.
