Not necessarily in order:

1. Thanksgiving

2. Opening Day

3. July 4

4. Memorial Day weekend (the actual day is usually spent in traffic)

5. First two days of the NCAA tournament

6. Christmas

Have a good one folks. Thankful for this great forum.

Re: Favorite Days of the Year

In calendar order:

1) Pitchers and catchers

2) Opening Day

3) Golf Day with my college buddies

4) Memorial Day

5) 4th of July

6) Boys Day at the beach with my son

7) Thanksgiving

8) Christmas

(2) was postponed this year, (3) and (6) were cancelled, and (7) and (8) are vastly different. I'm thankful this year is almost over.

Re: Favorite Days of the Year

Not for nothing but I despise pitchers and catchers day as it starts the clock on the longest and worst-weathered six weeks of the year. Time slows down at that point.

Give me any Tuesday night home game once the calendar turns to May that's my time.

I'm particularly partial to any day in June, which 4 out 5 scientists have agreed is the best of all months.

January 4: Anniversary of Balboa-Creed I

March 25: Anniversary of the date that Frodo destroyed the One Ring, and with it, Sauron.

June 16: Bloomsday

September 21: Love changes the minds of pretenders.

November 13: Felix Unger Day.

Days I Hate

June 27: Lottery Day.

September 13: Anniversary of the day when badly handled atomic waste caused a lunar explosion that knocked the moon out of the earth's orbit and hurtling into space. Wow! It's been 21 years already! And MLB still won't let the Mets mark the day by wearing their moon hats.

And while some might claim that I'm cheating by picking a specific date rather than an annual day, I already plan on naming 1/20/21 as my favorite day of 2022 also so I'm more or less still staying within the rules.

Party at my house. Letting Trump fly away. Gets stuck in a tree. November 7th was a pretty good day.

Haha love that!

My favorite day this year way probably the day my daughter and her kids and I celebrated her birthday in August.

They came to swim at least once a week this summer, and all four of us had our birthdays. Her adorable kids set about decorating my house while I cooked lunch and she sat by the pool for two hours pretending to read the same magazine lol

They were busy with crepe paper, construction paper, fancy scotch tape, etc, decorating for her special lunch and making a throne out of her dining room chair.

The best part was when my grandson (age 5) was going through my pantry looking for stuff to wrap for her. He wanted to give her my can of crisco 😂. I think he thought it was frosting

I love this list despite or because of the fact that it's 14 kinds of fucked up. To thine own self be true, Edgy.
