New Addresses for 2021

The Chicago White Sox look like they are going to bring in the first big member of the also-big 2021 international free agent class, signing young Cuban emigree and Hermano de la Poténcia Yoelqui Céspedes.

Wonder where La Potencia himself will wind up. Barring any porcine problems, of course.

The follow-through looks familiar, too. And frankly, so do the glutes.

The Nationals trade two pitchers (not Scherzer and Strasburg, but Wil Crowe and Eddy Yean) to the Pirates for 1B Josh Bell.

Re: New Addresses for 2021

Yeah, I was just about to add that the Nats have a set-enough OF to keep Schwarger off the grass and restricted to the dirt areas around 1B and the batter's box.

With Howie Kendrick gone and Ryan Zimmerman (going, going?) gone, they had a need there.

Yikes, that's a hefty deal. 3 years/$54M with a 4th year club option for $15M.

Competing with Liam Feeney and Liam Neeson to become history's highest paid Liam.

Cardinals bag Nolan Arenado in a reported trade pending Arenado waiving his no trade clause and their lineup mightl look like this upon finalization

2B Tommy Edman

SS Paul DeJong

3B Nolan Arenado

1B Paul Goldschmidt

LF Dylan Carlson

RF Dexter Fowler

C Yadier Molina

CF Harrison Bader

Pitcher's spot

Colorado would get salary relief and several mid tier prospects

Wong might have made for an interesting offense/defense platoon with Davis (i.e., McNeil would alternate between third and second), but I don't think I would have gone 2 and 18 with him.

Mickey Jannis trying to make it with Baltimore.

Contains a video of him throwing his knuckler.
Orioles' video content creator Johnny Douglas captured pitching prospect Mickey Jannis throwing the knuckleball during a spring training game against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday. Jannis, 33, is a former 44th round pick attempting to bring the knuckleball back. The last full-time pitcher to use it was Steven Wright, who hasn't appeared in an MLB game since 2019.
