Ugh, the Cano cover has a decent play on his name but looks horrible. Note the irrelevant MFY content pressed against his nose. They didn't need the two "bullets" and should have taken the tiny lettering next to the "N" and moved it elsewhere.

I don't like this cover either, but it's getting some benevolent matchups.

It's a very weak field this year. A lot fewer covers about actual games and more about off-field stuff.

The electorate mirrors my own ambiguity over which of these covers is better than the other. All that said all votes matter!

“...entertains with Amazin' fun year” equals making the three rows in the subhed line up. That's spinning newspaper in an old movie headline writing. The “takes” indeed nearly takes Cano's right eye out, but at least it's a word in service to the story. To be fair, these are both pretty good for a required college class in layout.
