Who's the Biggest MF on the MFY?
TheOldMole Jun 25 2005 10:17 AM |
Who is the quintessence of evil in the evil empire?
|
TheOldMole Jun 25 2005 10:17 AM |
OK, what did I do wrong? It didn't come out as a poll.

I must be the world's biggest idiot. When I go down there, I can only enter one line, not the whole poll. I realize everyone else can figure this out with no trouble.

The world's biggest idiot is a former poster known as BaLlOoN kNoT.
Add your question in field one, then your first option in field two, then click the "Add poll option" button and another field should appear.
Then you click that button and get another field to add another Yankee.
Whenever you want to add another answer option, click that button.

He was always a jerk, but at least his old self comported himself emotionally in a manner worthy of an overbearing, tyrannical jerk, rather than on a par with Sally Field accepting an academy award.

I left George off because then there's no contest.

In Buster Olney's book, he does a nice job drilling down into what made many of last century's greatest MFYs tick, and is deep and on the whole, admiring.

It took a lot of cajones for them to release the book under that title while the Yanks were still competing for another championship.

Great photo Kase :)

Jeter, hands down. Jeter and I share the same first name, same spelling too. I hate it when people hear my name and say "Oh, like Derek Jeter?"
|

I don't know who it is , but I can tell you what they did.

My wife accompanied me to a baseball card show a few years ago. She wandered off, letting me do my thing, and she was checking out one case, when the guy behind the counter said "So, you lookin' for Jeter, honey?" She flipped him the bird and walked away.

I've never met your wife Seawolf, but I really like her <g>

Back on topic, I happen to think Gary Sheffield is a pretty big MF'er but putting myself in Mets or Red Sox fans shoes I would have to choose Jeter as the biggest MF in MFY because he's generally viewed as the face of the Yankees, thus one of the most easily hated players.

Disclaimer: I am playing the Devil's Advocate here.

ScarletKnight41 Jun 26 2005 09:51 PM |
The fact that it's an insincere smile prevents it from making him a good guy.
|
TheOldMole Jun 26 2005 11:52 PM |
Remember, this is the Evil Empire. They're all evil!!!!! (Well, Bernie maybe less evil than some.) We don't have to find good in any of them, certainly not Jeter.

Sojo with his 36 hopper in game 5 in 2000 is a prick I will always hate.

Chef looks like he's about to slip Jeter the tongue.
|
cooby Jun 27 2005 01:37 PM |
At first glance, I thought he had Jeters hands pinned behind him...
|
ScarletKnight41 Jun 27 2005 01:45 PM |
I think the photo is more about the ass grabbing and dry humping than it is about tongue.

You know, I used to kinda have a thing for Gary Sheffield, and I'm a little jealous right now
|
ScarletKnight41 Jun 27 2005 01:51 PM |
I am laughing way too hard to be able to come up with a response to cooby's post....

Me too.
|
MFS62 Jun 27 2005 02:08 PM |
Mole, you had a thing for Gary Sheffield too?
|
rpackrat Jun 27 2005 02:11 PM |
I vote Jeter. He's overrated (a very fine player, but not nearly as good as MFY fans and the media think), and he just oozes insincerity.
|
Rotblatt Jun 27 2005 02:42 PM |
Jeter smirks a lot. I rather like the fact that he became the tragic figure on the New Yankees last year, though--the one guy still giving it his all as the season collapses around him.
