Pulling up a chair...

This forum's going to get busy soon.

Why is that?

Double bill: MFS62 v. Soupcan followed by Bret Sabermetric v. everyone.

Ah screw it, they made up. {kicks chair}

Nah, Soupy and I are cool now. (See WATP thread). At least we are from my standpoint.

Now I can relax and get ready for the main event. (Bret vs everyone.) But as a typical Libra, I'll probably jump in on the side of whover is losing, just to balance those scales. (Whether I believe in their standpoint or not. ) Remember my support of Sal's right to post his opinions?

Unfortunately, I haven't been following what may be leading up to the other brawl. Can you point me to a thread?

Yeah, sorry.

I was ready to go but the old guy played the diabetic card.

How do you fight that?

It seems as if every time I leave for a few days and don't have access to the internets, things get real interesting of late.

Last time the old EZBoard crashed. Now I'm missing a potential twin bill between true forum heavyweights.

I'm afraid to think what will happen when I'm away in DC for a forum road trip next weekend. Damn, I really need to get a lap top.

Rockin' Doc, I believe your birthday is next! You should tell Mrs. Rockin' that that is what you want!

If only it were that easy. My wish and a few hundred dollars will get me one too, as long as I'm the one to go get it.

So it's really just a matter of going to Best Buy....

Hey! How can this happen?

Most everyone will be with you! Maybe you can come back and report the carnage there...

Or we could just break out into fisticuffs while you're there and you won't miss a thing.

Fisticuffs? I thought we were bringing weapons.

Damn, I'm going to be at such a disadvantage. I won't even be able to carry my Swiss Army knife on the plane.

A couple of years ago, pre 9/11, D-Dad was going through airport security, and the screener was giving him a hard time over his Swiss Army Knife (something that D-Dad carries around routinely). The screener had apparently never seen one before. D-Dad, in an exasperated voice, said something like, "What am I going to do - hijack a plane with a Swiss Army Knife?"

The screener relented and let him bring it on the plane.

Was it ever determined what type of weapons were used to hijack the 9-11 planes?

Box cutters.

I'm not sure how we know that, though. Maybe from the passengers who made calls from their cell phones before the planes crashed.

Taking my chair again for the ABG - Bret bloodbath.
