Became the first-ever Nicaraguan Met in 2020. Hopes to become the first ever Nicaraguan Tiger in 2021.

Described as a "great pitcher" by Luis Rojas when he was called up. It made me wonder why it took so long to call him up if he was indeed great, but he certainly didn't embarrass Rojas in the brief time he got.

Some big-time long relief, including the rare three-inning save in the even rarer series opener in Buffalo.

I thought this guy was alright, or at least, he was a succeeder where many similarly talented bros were failers.

Resides in the same part of my internal Mets file cabinet as Elmer Dessens--waiver wire fat Latin relief pitchers who didn't suck as much as you might have expected them to

Yeah, but ... Nicaraguan!

What we need now is a Guatemalan Met. Or maybe a Belizean Met. Do I hear Turks and Caicos?
