Mets sign veteran pitchers Tommy Hunter and Mike Montgomery to minor league deals. They'll be in PSL ASAP.

Mike Montgomery becomes the 2d member of the 2016 WC Cubs to join the Mets 40-man roster. Montgomery got the save in Game 7.

Mildly disappointing. Over the past 8-10 years, he's been far more reliable-- and reliably good at that, with FIPs in the low-to-mid 3s --than most relievers... and FAR more than most of our vets.

Tommy hunted around before accepting a minor league contract to return to the Mets.
