No roster moves (yet) for McNeil and Almora? If they're unavailable the Mets' bench will consist of two catchers and no one else.

Re: IGT el Doce del Mayo 5/12

Khalil Lee will take Almora's place. McNeil is available off the bench.

SNY says the Matt Harvey story is the biggest "What if" in Mets history.

https://sny.tv/articles/matt-harvey-mets-what-if-history

That probably deserves its own thread, but obviously the writer hasn't followed the team for very long.

We used to live in Maryland and my dad took us to see the Baltimore Orioles several times. But my first game was Jim Palmer against Catfish Hunter of the Oakland A's. Jim Palmer threw a no-hitter. So how can you not be an Orioles freak after seeing that for the first game? It was the team with Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson and the 4 20-game winners. It was quite a learning experience at the time.

Palmer's no-hitter was in 1969. The O's had four 20-game winners two years later, in 1971.

Howie Rose, while praising the modest crowd for their salute to Harvey, was something less than generous, repeatedly delivering observations along the lines of "Well, this is who he is now."

No doubt his baseline has shifted well off of where it was at his peak, but it was clearly his least successful outing of the year.
