They really played down to the level of a bad team the last day and a half. I'm hoping guys coming back and new guys coming in for guys who aren't coming back is keeping them from gelling. Mason will hopefully outhit Maybin and Lee put together but he noticeably isn't covering as much ground as them.

If Villar is out, the Mets need a 3B as JD isn't coming back for a while. I'd like to see Maz back but he's never played 3B. David Thompson is the 3B at Syracuse but they'd have to move someone off the 40-man. I guess it's Drury and Blankenhorn until Guillorme is ready.

I heard the song two days ago on "'60s on 6" and it was almost out of my head but it's back in full force now.

Well, Alou keeping his powder dry instead of pinch-hitting for Walker early may have been the right call after all, even though he only had one more inning to get out of Walker. And credit to Taijuan for hanging in there as long as he did when his location was all over the place. The potg was Alonso's pinch-hit GiDP.
