I feel this an important game, and another stupid day off tomorrow. Then the

I went to High School with a Stevie Wilkerson ... but this Oriole is probably not the same guy. The one I knew was a basketball player, and he was black, and he'd be in his early 60s, and, if his HS antics were any kind of omen, likely in prison.

It's not so much that Lindor is swinging the bat better, althought that's more or less true. It's that he's not chasing curves in the dirt. Unfortunately, he just chased a high fastball for strike three.

I guess Pete wasn't being held on there (although the pitch earlier Ronnie said the O's were holding him) but that's a questionable move to send him either way.

I'm watching on the radio. Did Alonso running open up a spot for the hit? Howie won't shut up about how sad it is to watch Harvey. I think it's a good thing just to see him getting MLB innings. Baseball is hard.

7 complete innings in right about 2 hours. A High scoring/hitting game [9 runs, 16 hits combined] doesn't have to equate to a long game.

15 runs, 22 hits, 2:43 Braves/Phillies, starting at the same time, are in the bottom of the 9th despite just a 1-0 score (Braves lead).

I feel like about three years ago, the Mets came into Baltimore, got destroyed in one game, and then did the destroying in the next game.

I got the year right, and it was a two-game spit, but it wasn't quite the dramatic flip-flop this series was. The Mets lost 6-3 in game one, and then turned it around for a 16-5 victory in game two. Jonathan Villar and Miguel Castro were bad guys back then.
