Daniel is off to Searrle, where practically every ex-Met congregates. The lefty looked good upon arrival, particularly in his debut on a hot August night in Philadelphia. He musta got lost somewhere down the line.

Stony Brook! I was at a Spring game in Jupiter watching the starter warm-up and he came over to where I was standing to greet an old friend. He told him that he didn't know if he was going to make the team so he had to look for a place to live in two places. I thought that must be difficult. Oh, you mean memories of him on the field? I have nothing.

Looked a like like my friend Eric, and I loved him for it. This year, he lost the scruffy beard but kept the scruffy mustache, and I hated him for it. Originally acquired when the Mets ran out of roster room in January and had to DFA Josh Smoker and instead of waiving him, were able to get some more lefty relief action out of Danny Z.
