TBR ace Tyler Glasnow to the IL with a partially torn UCL. I suppose how partially is partially will be a big factor jn the Rays' success this season. Max Scherzer to the IL with a groin strain So that at least scratches him for this weekend.

BoSox jump out to an early 5-0 lead in Atlanta. Braves fight back to tie it at 7 but Alex Verdugo just made it 10-7 Boston with a 2-out/3R HR in top 8th

And speaking of two-out 8th inning HRs, Arizona, losers of (I believe) 11 straight and 20 straight on the road, jumped out to a 7-0 lead in San Fran last night. They lost 9-8 It was Mike Yastrzemski with the two-out 8th inning Grand Slam which provided the final four SFG runs. Jose Altuve hit a walk-off 10th inning GS to beat Texas 6-3 Braves lost, Phils lost, Marlins lost, Nats won (although to the Pirates so that barely counts)

The Jays, who managed to fuck up their game vs the Yanx last night despite having the tying and winning runs on 2nd & 3rd in the home 9th, just ran themselves into a 2nd inning Little League triple play on a Vladdy Jr grounder, again starting in a situation with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Running the bases that incompetently almost requires a pre-game strategy to do so.

While we're dealing with regular and make-up games with the Nats: - the Braves are hosting the Cards in a four game set which will include the SNB game: Braves won the opener on Thursday - the Marlins are in Wrigley for the weekend - Phils are at the Giants for a late one tonight, then afternoon games on Sat & Sun

The Yanx turned their second triple play of the week and their third this season. Two of the TP's, including today's, have been game-ending. Chapman walked the first two hitters on a total of 9 pitches, then was shaking hands one pitch later. Talk about falling up!
