When the Mets were up and the Phils down, particularly when tickets were practically unlimited in that cavernous old stadium, NYM fans would often seem to outnumber Philly plans. Don't think that's likely to be the case these days.

Gibson/Realmuto were counting on getting at least one call on those off the plate pitches to Nido. Not a bad strategy while you're ahead in the count but they hung with it too long.

A thoroughly demoralizing experience. Not sure what it's going to take for them to get their shit together. With 13 games coming up against the Dodgers and Giants and no sign of deGrom or Lindor, this is going to go south very quickly. There needs to be some real soul-searching this winter about how this team is constructed. They have good pieces but nothing meshes.

West was consistent, I'll give him that. Six inches off the plate was a strike for everyone. I guess that's why his consistency numbers are better than his accuracy score.

West had a very wide strike zone, but he was pretty consistent with it throughout the game. The Mets did not lose due to West's ball and strike calls.
