IGT 8/20/21 NYM @ LAD: "L.A. Is My Lady"

Joined in progress. The Mets conceded a run in the first which might mean the game given the way they've been hitting and the pitcher they are facing. LAD is dressed like crap but I don't think that it will hurt their game. Gary with Todd Zeile on TV. They are in Connecticut so the delay will be obvious. Wayne with Ed Coleman on Radio. Could there be a more 2021 NYM loss? - lose by a run ... during this now 1-7 stretch they've lost by 1 (10 innings), 1 (10), blowout, 2, 1, 3, 1 - 1 hit w/RiSP ... and that an infielder dribbler - the lone HR (the lone XBH in fact) comes with bases empty - the two-on and bases loaded situations are what we save the strikeouts for (2nd inning, 3rd inning, twice in the 8th inning) - only six LOBsters, but many runners were on with <2 outs so successive hitters kept failing to drive the same runs in, ergo the #5 thru #8 hitters by themselves left 4, 3, 3, & 2 stranded - eight game total: 9/61 w/RiSP (.148). Stretches like that should be almost impossible to maintain and yet they manage to do so.
