Mass resignations have begun affecting the Met Fan Base but there's still time to make them regret those decisions before they clean out their cubicles and meet with Sarah in HR for their exit interviews. Interestingly, many seem interested in applying to be Giants fans, but only following tonight's thrilling matchup between visitors' Alex Wood (10-4, 4.11) and Carlos Carrasco (0-2, 8.82). DON'T MISS A PITCH

Can't sit both Davis and Conforto. I can buy trying to give guys days off if they need it, but you can't struggle to score runs and sit two of your actual hitters.

Davis should be playing against a LHP but he got hit in the head last night so that might be something. Luis might have noticed that Pillar is hitting 1.000 against Wood (1 for 1).

So that's seven DPs in the last 12 innings. And the reason it's been Only two tonight is that the SFG shift has prevented two more.

ABSURD If they're going to stop the game for three minutes to reverse that then I'd prefer to go back to no replay at all. I'll take three incorrect calls per game over that shit.

Luis, the Mets' problem isn't a lack of conviction when they get their pitch. It's a surfeit of conviction when they don't. And as I type that, Pete convicts a ball into orbit to tie the game!!

The 8th & 9th baserunners in 5.1 innings are the first to score (or to reach 3rd base). Didn't help matters that 3 of the first 7 were erased.

Since they exempt PH ABs from counting as a mound visit, every PH situation now almost automatically brings a mound visit. iow, their rule change designed to shorten the game is lengthening it.

The stolen base is a vastly under utilized weapon. For a team that struggles to score, they should be looking to "manufacture runs" and pressure the defense any way they can. Luckily, Villar walks.

Once upon a time I would be very confident in this PH appearance by McNeil. That time was at least two seasons ago at this point. Right now he's in the yearbook as the boy most likely to pop up on the first pitch.

Another game, another Mets loss. The contrast between true World Series contenders (Dodgers & Giants) and playoff pretenders (Mets) was quite apparent this past 2 weeks. Good teams find a way to win close games, this team seems to find ways to lose them.
